Support of scientific publishing activity

Within the program of increasing SPU competitiveness among world leading universities, a great attention is drawn to scientific publishing activity of university members.

1. SPU Research Offices support the following activities targeted at the increase of publishing indices (number of articles, citation) in bibliographic databases Scopus and Web of Science:

  • Publishing a specialized issue of a scientific journal (traditional or supplementary), included in databases Scopus and Web of Science, with articles of SPU members. The University, if required by the Editor, covers expenses to produce the issue.
  • Creating a separate SPU section in the materials digests of international conferences cited in databases Scopus or Web of Science. The University, if required by the Editor, covers expenses to produce the digest.

A University member who is offered to be the Editor of a journal issue or section in the materials digests of international conferences is authorized to request the Research Planning Office (Mitrofanov A.M.) to reimburse the expenses. It is compulsory to have a journal or publications cited in databases Scopus or Web of Science and more than 50% of authors should be SPU members.

2. Within activity 1.2.2 SPU supports publishing of single articles

A University member, whose article was accepted for publication by a scientific journal or who was invited to make a report at a conference, can apply for a loan in return for a grant to publish an article (report).
It is compulsory to have a journal or conference publications cited in databases Scopus or Web of Science.
